Hali Noble speaks with VERICO President about Charity Golf Tournament honouring his wife’s work in the medical field.

On August 27, 2022, the Squire family will host the first annual Donna Squire Charity Golf Tournament to raise funds for the Donna Squire International Nursing Student Bursary.

The bursary was set up by Mark Squire, President of VERICO, after his wife Donna, mother of their three children passed away suddenly in June of 2021.

Donna Squire was a RN in the Surgical Unit at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and part of the Conestoga College Nursing Faculty – International Nursing Program.

We are overwhelmed by the support of the first annual Donna Squire Charity Golf Tournament

Mark SquirePresident, VERICO Canada

The bursary will recognize three students, one per semester, entering into the 2nd year of the program, based on a combination of academic, educational performance, quality of care and self-reflective practice. What is special about this award is that Donna was able to see it become a reality and had input into the criteria for the successful recipients. A international nursing student pays over $28,000 per year in tuition and this bursary can help ease some of that financial burden.

The goal is to reach over $100,000 so that the legacy can run in perpetuity and truly honour Donna and her accomplishments.

The family would be honoured if you would consider becoming a partner, sponsoring or participating in the golf tournament . If you have any questions, please contact Pin Luk, pin.luk@verico.ca  or Cynthia Clark,  Cynthia.Clark@thecmigroup.ca

Thank you from student recipient of the Donna Squire International Nursing Student Bursary
