As mortgage brokers, we help people get into homes each and every day. We also believe that we should be doing something to help those who do not have a home.
Every year in early December, mortgage brokers and lender partners hit the streets in cities across Canada to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate as part of our award-winning Angels in the Night Homeless Shelter Project.
Angels in the Night is an annual event that results after a year’s worth of fundraising. Brokers reach out to their local homeless shelters to identify the items most in demand. Those items are then purchased and personally delivered to the shelters on the second Tuesday in December each year. Since 2002, Angels in the Night volunteers have raised almost $4 million in cash and in-kind donations. Recipient shelters serve a wide range of clients from mothers with infants and small children, to street youth, adults, and the elderly.
