Premiere Cares launches raffle campaign in support of brain cancer research

Giving back to the community has always been important to the Premiere Mortgage Family. Over the years we have supported many deserving charities and individuals in need of our love and support.

This initiative is especially dear to our hearts as we have lost a few of our agents due to cancer.

In 2015 we lost one of our founders, Dave MacVicar to brain cancer. Dave was a pioneer in the mortgage industry, raising the bar and opening doors in Atlantic Canada with his leadership and mentorship.

His journey in the mortgage business involved a 20 year career with Scotiabank and CIBC before becoming a founding partner at Premiere Mortgage Centre in 2006. Losing his battle with brain cancer in 2015, at the early age of 49, left a hole in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.

Dave started a career with Scotiabank in 1988, beginning his career in Personal Banking and eventually moving to Mortgage Financing. Dave moved on to CIBC/HLC in 2001 as an Area Sales Manager where he developed many personal and professional lifelong relationships.

Dave and his brother Don opened Premiere Mortgage Centre in 2006, quickly growing the company to national prominence in a few short years. Dave approached the business world with integrity, passion and excitement and the love of a good challenge.

He always sought to bring out the best in others and always felt satisfied when others succeeded. To Dave, his greatest priority in life was his treasured boys, family and close friends.
