Giving Back to our Communities

We share the vision and values of our parent organization, the Alberta Motor Association (AMA), in protecting the things that matter most. Alongside AMA and our broker partners, we’re committed to making a positive difference in our community and serving a purpose higher than profit.

Our Corporate Responsibility work is primarily focused on climate good, childhood safety, and food security. Collaborating with our partners, staff and stakeholders, we’re passionate about finding opportunities to create meaningful change in the places where we live and work.

Bridgewater Bank is a proud supporter of community food banks through AMA’s annual Fill Our Fleet campaign, which as of March 2022 has raised more than $850,000 and 240,000 lbs of non-perishables for Albertans in need. We participate in AMA Cares, a stewardship program that includes neighbourhood clean-up, blood donation, support of Meals on Wheels, and other means of community outreach. And our employees receive a paid volunteer day every year to support the individual causes that matter to them.

In partnership with our mortgage brokers, Bridgewater Bank has additionally supported a wide range of causes that span everything from childhood mobility (Bikes for Kids) to food security (Breakfast Club of Canada) to vulnerable housing (Angels in the Night), to name just a few. We’re honoured to work alongside so many dedicated partners who share our social values. Together, we’re stronger.
